This week, the Friendly Society Private Hospital will see two new operating theatres come to life after 8 months of construction.  This is a huge boost to the healthcare offering of the FSPH as well as to the people of Bundaberg and surrounding region.  "Record activity and increased community demand resulted in this need to grow" Hospital CEO, Alan Cooper said.

Theatre staff have been eagerly anticipating the completion of the new state of the art theatres having kept a keen eye on construction since commencing in July last year.  "It's an exciting time to see our theatre suite growing, we are such a dynamic organization and keen to continue leading the way with surgery in Bundaberg" Anne Ashton, Peri-Operative Services Manager said.

The completion of the additional theatres secures the facility's expected surgical growth for the coming years and makes having your surgery performed locally by leading specialists even easier.  Local surgeons now have access to five state of the art operating theatres that rival that of any of the best facilities in metropolitan centres across Australia.
