Construction of $30 million Stage 5 re-development

The Friendly Society Private Hospital, located in Bundaberg Queensland, has commenced construction on a $30 million re-development.  The re-development will increase the physical size of the hospital by a staggering 70% and will deliver 57 additional inpatient beds and six beds for day oncology.

“For the past two years, the hospital has been functioning at peak occupancy, which has prevented the hospital from meeting the growing community need for private admissions.” said Alan Cooper, hospital CEO.

Independent Employee Survey Results Indicate Perfect Conditions for Healthcare Workers

Friendly Society Private Hospital Announces RCNA Corporate Partnership

The Friendly Society Private Hospital, located in Bundaberg Queensland, has become Australia’s first hospital to offer a new benefit to its nursing staff.

In July a corporate agreement was signed with the Royal College of Nursing (RCNA) which will bring added advantages to existing and future staff.  The agreement, which is one of two new models founded by the RCNA, is known as the Corporate Partnership Plus initiative.
